Humans were created by the Et’arī as beings with various kinds of talents and capabilities, therefore, humans could easily mastered both the art of weaponry and magic. They were also adept at all kinds of crafts such as farming, trading, animal husbandry, cooking, and forging light weapons and various household items. But in order to balance the forces of the Universe, their life is the shortest in comparison with other creatures and races and is the subject to various terrestrial sufferings such as torturous diseases, illnesses, and insanity.

Today we will tell you the story of how it all started and how the first humans were brought together to build up the largest city of all of Eleida — Stormfield.

Once upon a time, a small brotherhood of people lived in a drought-stricken village with a very meager harvest. Humans were massively dying from severe hunger and were going to leave the arid lands in order to find a more suitable place for living and save their kind.

It took a lot of time and effort to prepare everything for the resettlement journey, but as soon as everything and everyone were ready, the unexpected happened. An incredibly giant, gloomily lilac storm clouds rushed at them in high gear. The storm advanced rapidly as if it was driven by someone’s whip. Humans in fear had to hide back in the recently abandoned frail houses. And as soon as the thunderclouds were above them, hail and rain of strong force poured down, and so it went for several days. The storm did not subside and did not stop for a second. Humans were frightened as well as exhausted from the thoughts of the inevitably approaching end. But after the whole week of disastrous punishment of nature, suddenly the storm ceased and the clouds left the battered village.

In fear, people waited for several hours before going outside their houses to look at what was left after the storm. But when the first people finally dared to do so, the miracle appeared before their eyes and they screamed in unison with genuine delight. Wherever a drop of rain touched, a lush harvest of all kinds of berries, vegetables, and fruits began to grow, as well as a variety of forest trees and medicinal herbs. No one could believe that the land, on which practically nothing grew, all of a sudden became incredibly fertile. Only later, from the Elven lands, where the enlightened prophets lived, did rumors come that all this was the blessing of Et’arī, who believed that humans were still destined to make their vital contribution into the war against the darkness of Efu.

Life boiled over. Humans began to work very hard to actively harvest and develop all kinds of handicraft areas. From a small and haggard village, they managed to form a massive city with a developed economy, complicated trade system, and connection with other humanlike races and creatures. As a result, humans named this land Stormfield in honor of that mysterious storm that gave them prosperous life on this earth. As well as annually, the humans started to celebrate the most important day of the year — Harvestrein, as a tribute to the worship of Et’arī.

Humans accepted everyone who wanted to join them and make a contribution to the enhancement of the city, and that is why in a fairly short time, Stormfield became the center of all trade routes, the best craft masters and a glorious multifaced Empire. Here one could found the most delicious food prepared by the orcs, the supreme quality weapons supplied by the dwarves, the finest clothes and pottery made by the halflings, the best books from the elves’ library, and the most skillful mercenaries — Köttari [?]. The Empire prospered, flourished, and gave birth to many of its legendary warriors and mages.
